Bückingsgarten in Marburg

After a shooting perparation date for Sunday, I decided to test the newly renovated and redecorated restaurant “Bückingsgarten” in Marburg. I’ve always liked that place. Its location directly at the foot of the Landgrafenschloss (Marburg Castle) is priceless. But it used to be some kind of fast food café rather than an atmoshperic restaurant.

In 2010 the owner has changed and a considerable amount of money has been invested. It was well worth it!

The outside facilities welcome the guests with nice wooden seats and tables as well as huge parasols. A very pleasant atmosphere is createde and makes you want to sit down at one of the tables that offer a fantastic view over the old town of Marburg.

If you choose to sit at a table a little to the right, you look into some nice wild gardens, another pleasant view.

The tables are nicely decorated but without being gaudy or kitsch.

The view up to the castle is the one of the classic reasons to spend your time in this restaurant.

The service is very friendly and attentive, the food is delicious and looks great. It is also available at reasonably prices.

If you prefer to sit inside, a beautiful ambience surprises you.

This place has changed much to the better and deserves a high recommendation for everybody who just feels like having a quick coffee, a nice lunch or a dinner in nice atmosphere.
