I live in Springfield, Missouri and can tell you there is still lots to see between Springfield and Miami, Oklahoma on Route 66. Sometimes you have to take a side road or two to reach some of the spots. One in particular is “Red Oak II” near Carthage, Missouri. Go to their Facebook page. If you are a photographer it is really a neat stop. Carthage also has wonderful Victorian homes and an original Route 66 Motel “Boots Motel”. It is in good shape and renting rooms. Miami Oklahoma has the Coleman Theatre which is restored and just an awesome place. So, I say, there are still kicks if you look for them.

  2. Thanks very much. I also think that there are plenty of “kicks” available on Route 66. It’s the opinion of the author of the external text.
